This Cottage and Main House are in a small hamlet which overlooks the lovely valley of Rio Tâmaga. Mondim de Basto, 5.5km away, has shops, cafés, restaurants and bathing in the Rio Tâmaga. You can follow the river down to the attractive town of Amarante, where there is a weekly market.
For most of the year the Cottage by itself is available to rent with use of the pool shared with the owners; in high season the Main House is rented together with it for larger groups.

For most of the year the Cottage by itself is available to rent with use of the pool shared with the owners; in high season the Main House is rented together with it for larger groups.
The Cottage (sleeps 4) is separated from the Main House by a quiet country lane which ends in the little hamlet of Atei. It has a well cared for walled 1,000m2 garden with a 8m x 4m swimming pool. Inside the cottage is simply, but tastefully furnished. The sitting/kitchen area has TV, a sofa and a dining table for 4 plus a cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Off this room are two twin bedrooms and a bathroom/wc.
The Main House (sleeps 10) has been furnished with style and tastefully decorated. The main rooms are on the first floor. The large entrance hall opens onto a splendid covered veranda. On one side of the hall is a drawing room with 4 sofas, armchairs and antique furniture; a door opens onto the large 800m2 terrace with orange trees, hydrangeas and 2 big granite tables for eating out. Another door opens from the drawing room into the dining room with table to seat 12; adjacent is a traditional kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge/freeze, a dishwasher and a table for 10. Off the hall is a separate wc.
Stairs descend from the drawing room to a ground floor hall which opens onto the exterior, and off which is a twin bedroom with bathroom/wc and a double bedroom with shower room/wc. Stairs descend from the first floor entrance hall to the ground floor, which has two double bedrooms each with a bathroom/wc and another double bedroom with a shower room/wc. The house has central heating and a washing machine.
