Together with the Douro, Minho is the main producer of the famous “Vinho Verde” - a fresh, semi-sparkling young wine the vineyards of which you cannot miss as you drive around the countryside. We have a selection of Minho cottages, many with a private pool, located in peaceful countryside. The Minho is also the centre of rural tourism from which you can visit the picturesque town Ponte de Lima, enjoy walking or horse riding plus fabulous sandy beaches well known for their surfing. Often a delightful local restaurant is within walking distance of our Minho cottages where home made local produce and wine are served. Porto is the main city of the region and is only 1 hour from our cottages in Minho.
